Sewing
My line of sewn scarves are made of repurposed silk and wool. What is repurposed? The fabrics that I am using started out as something different. A silk skirt from the thrift store, and a remnant of suiting wool may pair together wonderfully. I enjoy the challenge of finding and matching colors and patterns together. All of the cloth that I start with goes through a vigorous washing process. If the fabric stands up to it, I can begin to cut it into pieces. The silk and wool are then pieced together and sewn carefully into two layers. They are finished with a tiny blue wool square in the corner. It is my signature.
